Job Description
Reports to: Band Director
Terms of Employment: The Cedar Springs High School Marching Band has an immediate opening for a Brass Instructor for the 2026 marching band season and possibly beyond. Must be a current employee of Edu Staff or willing to become an employee of Edu Staff.
Employment will begin August 3, 2026, pending completion of Edu Staff registration and all required paperwork.
Responsibilities- Attendance at all band functions.
- Assist with show design.
- Instruction of fundamental playing skills, show music, marching fundamentals, and show drill.
- Creating a positive, while challenging and competitive environment for students to achieve excellence.
- Complete all paperwork in a timely fashion.
- Experience in marching in high school, at the collegiate level, in winter activities, or DCI preferred.
- Previous successful marching band instruction at the high school level.
- Extensive knowledge of woodwind technique and instruction.
- Ability to establish working relationships with co-workers and function as part of a cohesive team.
- Able to have effective and positive communication with students, staff members and directors.
- Responsible, professional, embodies high ethical standards and integrity.
Pay will be $14.00 per hour.
