Marching Band - Season Brass Instructor

Reports to: Band Director

Terms of Employment: The Cedar Springs High School Marching Band has an immediate opening for a Brass Instructor for the 2026 marching band season and possibly beyond. Must be a current employee of Edu Staff or willing to become an employee of Edu Staff.

Employment will begin August 3, 2026, pending completion of Edu Staff registration and all required paperwork.

• Attendance at all band functions.
• Assist with show design.
• Instruction of fundamental playing skills, show music, marching fundamentals, and show drill.
• Creating a positive, while challenging and competitive environment for students to achieve excellence.
• Complete all paperwork in a timely fashion.

• Experience in marching in high school, at the collegiate level, in winter activities, or DCI preferred.
• Previous successful marching band instruction at the high school level.
• Extensive knowledge of woodwind technique and instruction.
• Ability to establish working relationships with co-workers and function as part of a cohesive team.
• Able to have effective and positive communication with students, staff members and directors.
• Responsible, professional, embodies high ethical standards and integrity.

Pay will be $14.00 per hour.
