Adjunct - Mathematics Instructor

Instruct a variety of Mathematics courses including developmental and transitional math, quantitative reasoning, and/or college algebra. Current available courses require face‑to‑face daytime or evening availability at the Dowagiac and/or Niles campuses. We do not offer online courses at this time. Close proximity to the Niles campus is an added advantage for Fall/Spring 2026 and 2027.

• Master’s in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics, or Master’s degree with 18 graduate credits in a related subject area
• Excellent organization and communication skills

• Master’s degree or higher in subject matter or equivalent
• Community College teaching experience

• Teach effectively using a variety of instructional methods
• Be accessible to students
• Grade assignments and respond to student inquiries
• Provide timely feedback to students’ questions and concerns
• Use Moodle (our LMS platform) regularly for posting assignments, attendance, and grades
• Proficient with computer technologies, including Microsoft Office and email
• Familiar with rules, regulations, administrative practices, guidelines and policies of the College
• Provide the department with student performance data required for regular outcomes assessment
• Work comfortably with a diverse student population that includes dual-enrolled high school students, traditional college students, and nontraditional college students
• Additional duties not noted in the job description may be assigned by a supervisor
