Responsibilities- Plan and implement high-quality, developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with GSRP requirements.
- Utilize Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies GOLD to support children's learning and development.
- Build positive relationships with children and families.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
- Observe, assess, and document children's progress.
- Conduct developmental screenings and participate in parent conferences.
- Collaborate with teaching partners, administrators, specialists, and families.
- Promote children's social-emotional growth using positive guidance strategies.
- Maintain licensing, GSRP, and health and safety standards.
- Ensure the classroom is organized, clean, and inviting.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and required trainings.
Applicants must meet Michigan GSRP Lead Teacher qualifications, including one of the following:
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Child Development
- Bachelor's Degree with an Early Childhood endorsement
- Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a ZA endorsement (or willingness to obtain)
- Meet all current Michigan GSRP Lead Teacher requirements
- Experience teaching in a preschool or GSRP classroom
- Knowledge of Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies GOLD
- Strong classroom management and family engagement skills
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Passionate about early childhood education
