High School Robotics Assistant Coach
- Attends at least 50% of all practices as set by team.
- Assists with any major (beyond single level and/or team) events focused on robotics.
- Attends all High School level competition events.
- Responsible for at least one (1) sub team as assigned by High School Head Coach.
- Responsible for communications of program with community and sponsors.
- Organizes parent boosters.
- Attends at least 50% of all community events.
- Attends all sponsor related events.
- Functions as mentor to middle and elementary school level coaches via participation upon request from middle and elementary level coaches.
Directly supervises students, volunteers and assigned personnel.

Education and/or Experience- Experience working with students in a diverse, multicultural academic setting is required.
- Lifelong learner with a collaborative spirit is required.
- Bilingual preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to instruct and supervise students is required.
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills is required.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain emotional control under stress.
Skills and Abilities
Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional program; ability to plan and implement lessons based on division and school objectives and the needs and abilities of students to whom assigned. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers and parents; skill in oral and written communication. Ability to work with staff, parents and children.
Physical DemandsThe employee is regularly required to stand, talk, hear, walk, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (e.g., athletic equipment) and may occasionally lift up to 100 pounds or more (e.g., when assisting in the weight room). Specific vision abilities required include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
Work EnvironmentThe noise level is usually moderate to loud. The employee is frequently required to interact with the public and other staff. The employee is directly responsible for the safety, well-being and work output of students. The employee will travel frequently district wide and statewide. The employee will frequently work prolonged and irregular hours. The employee is likely to be exposed to a wide range of weather conditions.
