Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in education from an accredited college or university, or enrolled in/have completed an alternate pathway to certification. Must be Highly Qualified and Endorsed for this position with a Michigan Teaching Certificate, Secondary Teaching Certificate and Math Endorsement of EX. Thorough understanding of the College Prep Mathematics curriculum.

• Have a relationship approach to classroom management.
• Teach district-approved CPM curriculum, using instructional best practices that support student ownership and empowerment.
• Intentionally plan and design learning experiences to provide whole group, small group, and individualized instruction.
• Use formative assessments to drive lesson planning and learning.
• Evaluate student performance, provide timely feedback, and maintain accurate records of progress and grades.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student performance, progress, and concerns.
• Actively participate in department and school-wide curriculum development and decision-making.
• Participate in professional development, attend staff meetings, and be a team player.
