Adjunct Instructors for Fall 2026
The University of Olivet, a liberal arts institution with an historical commitment to inclusion, diversity, and social justice, seeks in-person Adjunct Instructors for our general pool and for specific subjects for on-campus classes during the Fall 2026 semester.
This posting is for in-person, daytime or evening instruction on The University of Olivet campus. Adjunct instructor positions are part-time, and teaching assignments will vary from semester to semester, with most classes meeting twice each week for 15 weeks.
Students from underrepresented minorities constitute 26% of the current student body, with almost 20% of the student body identifying as African American. Approximately half of the student body is Pell grant eligible. Members of historically underrepresented groups are strongly encouraged to apply.
Primary ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and grade students' class work, assignments and papers. Prepare and deliver instructional materials (i.e. syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts) in-person and via the Online Learning Management System (Canvas). Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions. Compile, administer, and grade assessments. Participate in required reporting processes (i.e. grades, attendance, etc.).
QualificationsMaster's degree in specific subject or a related field; or, a Master's degree in a related field with at least 18 graduate credits in the specific field.
