Description:

Crawford School is a small, community-centered, one-room schoolhouse serving families in Kalkaska County. Our multi-age classrooms foster independence, collaboration, kindness, and curiosity. Students benefit from personalized attention, hands-on learning, and strong relationships with their teachers, peers, and community.

We are seeking a passionate and adaptable elementary teacher to lead a multi-grade classroom. Our future teacher will work in close proximity to three other staff members while cultivating a supportive classroom culture where older and younger students learn together.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Develop weekly lesson plans utilizing district provided curriculum
• Help maintain and assist in the establishment of good school-community relations
• Be an active team member who participates in daily collaboration
• Assist administration in the implementation of school and board policies

Qualifications:

• Minimum of Bachelor's Degree with valid Michigan Elementary Teaching Certificate
• Knowledge of requirements of state and federal mandates
• Willingness to work in a learner-centered environment
• Ability to work exceptionally well in a shared space
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• High capacity for changes and a willingness to help
