Glen Lake Community Schools is seeking a dynamic and student‑centered Secondary Teacher certified in both Health Education and a World Language. This position will serve students in grades 6‑12, providing engaging instruction that supports students’ physical well‑being, communication skills, and global awareness.

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in education from an accredited college or university, or enrollment/completion of an alternate pathway to certification.
• Michigan teaching certificate, secondary teaching certificate endorsed for this position.
• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with Health endorsement (MA) and a World Language endorsement (FF, FA, FB, etc.).
• Highly qualified and endorsed for the role.

• Strong understanding of adolescent development.
• Plan and deliver engaging instruction in Health and World Language.
• Promote student wellness, healthy decision‑making, and lifelong habits.
• Develop students’ language proficiency in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
• Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learner needs.
• Assess and monitor student progress.
• Maintain a safe and respectful classroom environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student performance, progress, and concerns.
• Participate in professional development, attend staff meetings, and be a team player.

• At least 1 year of relevant experience (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
