Summary:
We are seeking a part-time Band Assistant to work with students 5th-12th Grade. The Band Assistant will be responsible for assisting the band director in various tasks related to the school's band program.
Responsibilities:- Assist the band director in preparing for rehearsals and performances
- Help students with instrument setup and maintenance
- Assist with organizing and distributing sheet music and other materials
- Attend rehearsals and performances to provide support to the band director and students
- Help with the setup and teardown of equipment for rehearsals and performances
- Assist in small groups and one on one practices
- Assist with fundraising and other administrative tasks related to the band program
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience playing a musical instrument, preferably in a school band setting
- Ability to work well with students and other staff members
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- 15 hours per week during school hours (3 hrs/day) minimum
- Availability to work additional hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
- Ability to lift and move equipment as needed
