Band Assistant

Coloma Community Schools Band Assistant 26-27 School Year

Summary:

We are seeking a part-time Band Assistant to work with students 5th-12th Grade. The Band Assistant will be responsible for assisting the band director in various tasks related to the school's band program.

• Assist the band director in preparing for rehearsals and performances
• Help students with instrument setup and maintenance
• Assist with organizing and distributing sheet music and other materials
• Attend rehearsals and performances to provide support to the band director and students
• Help with the setup and teardown of equipment for rehearsals and performances
• Assist in small groups and one on one practices
• Assist with fundraising and other administrative tasks related to the band program

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience playing a musical instrument, preferably in a school band setting
• Ability to work well with students and other staff members
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• 15 hours per week during school hours (3 hrs/day) minimum
• Availability to work additional hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
• Ability to lift and move equipment as needed
