Cedar Springs Public Schools invites devoted educators to serve as a long‑term substitute 4th grade teacher from Aug 24 through Nov 18, 2026. We are seeking results‑driven, inspiring professionals committed to helping children develop emotionally, socially, and intellectually.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create a classroom environment that fosters individuality, curiosity, and a passion for learning.
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials and adapt the curriculum to meet the individual needs of each student through differentiated instruction.
• Establish effective, positive relationships with students, parents, teachers, other support staff, and administrators.
• Apply sound principles of learning and motivation in the planning, implementation, and assessment phases of instructional delivery.
• Utilize a variety of quality classroom management techniques to maintain a highly productive learning environment.
• Collaborate with grade‑level members in planning curriculum, units, and classroom lessons.
• Commit to the district’s school improvement process and curriculum development effort.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Michigan Secondary Teaching Certificate with an endorsement in early childhood education preferred (not required).
• A high level of knowledge in teaching at the elementary level.
• Knowledge of and ability to apply the Michigan Content Standards provided by MDE.
• Ability to apply technology integration to promote student learning.
• Ability to communicate well at various levels with students, parents, and school personnel.
• Ability to analyze assessment data to plan student intervention.
• Evidence of a positive attitude and human‑relation skills.
• Evidence of high standards of ethics, honesty, and integrity in personal and professional matters.
• High level of flexibility.

REPORTS TO: Building Principal

START/END DATE: Aug 24, 2026 – Nov 18, 2026

SALARY RANGE: $160/day (must be a current employee of Edu Staff or willing to become an employee of Edu Staff)
