Cuisnary Arts Instructional Technician

The Instructional Technician functions as a member of the instructional team under the direction of the Instructor. They provide support services for students to assist them in overcoming barriers to learning.

Qualifications

4,000 hours of recent and relevant work experience in the culinary field.
Serve Safe certification required.
Related Associate's degree preferred.
Must be physically able to perform the duties and tasks.
Must be able to stoop, bend, squat, pull, push, twist, and be able to stand for long periods of time. Be able to lift 50lbs.

Job Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate support services with the Instructor.

Assist in the development of individual student achievement plans.

Assist students by reviewing, re-teaching, and reinforcing technical and academic content.

Assist students in the development of personal management skills.

Assist students in the transition from school to work.

Provide feedback to the Instructor regarding student progress, behavior, and special needs.

Job Responsibilities

Substitute teacher when the Instructor is absent.

Assist with recruiting and promotional activities.

Assist with student management activities.

Assist with classroom/lab organization and maintenance activities.

Participate in professional development activities that enhance support services for students.

Follow policies and procedures set forth in the Staff Handbook, Student Handbook, and SCCRESA Board of Education Policy Manual.

Required Education Level: High School Diploma
