Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary School Teacher to join our educational team at the Dexter Early Elementary Complex. As an elementary teacher, you will create a positive and engaging classroom environment, foster students' academic growth, and support their social and emotional development.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lesson plans and instructional materials that align with the curriculum standards and meet the needs of students.
- Assess and monitor student progress through regular evaluations, tests, and assignments.
- Provide individualized support to students as needed to help them achieve academic success.
- Establish clear objectives and expectations for behavior and academic performance.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, school staff, and parents to support student development.
- Maintain effective communication with parents through regular updates, conferences, and progress reports.
- Attend professional development workshops, school meetings, and other relevant training to continuously improve teaching skills.
- Follow school policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.
- Responsibility of employees to obtain and maintain all training(s), certificate(s), approval(s), etc. and provide documentation to the Human Resource office before the expiration date of said document(s).
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Required).
- Valid Michigan teaching certificate (Required).
- Experience teaching in an elementary school setting (Preferred).
- Strong knowledge of curriculum design and instructional strategies for elementary students. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to motivate, inspire, and build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Compassionate, patient, and flexible approach to working with children.
- Proficiency in using technology and educational tools in the classroom.
