Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary School Teacher to join our educational team at the Dexter Early Elementary Complex. As an elementary teacher, you will create a positive and engaging classroom environment, foster students' academic growth, and support their social and emotional development.

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lesson plans and instructional materials that align with the curriculum standards and meet the needs of students.
• Assess and monitor student progress through regular evaluations, tests, and assignments.
• Provide individualized support to students as needed to help them achieve academic success.
• Establish clear objectives and expectations for behavior and academic performance.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, school staff, and parents to support student development.
• Maintain effective communication with parents through regular updates, conferences, and progress reports.
• Attend professional development workshops, school meetings, and other relevant training to continuously improve teaching skills.
• Follow school policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.
• Responsibility of employees to obtain and maintain all training(s), certificate(s), approval(s), etc. and provide documentation to the Human Resource office before the expiration date of said document(s).

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Required).
• Valid Michigan teaching certificate (Required).
• Experience teaching in an elementary school setting (Preferred).
• Strong knowledge of curriculum design and instructional strategies for elementary students. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to motivate, inspire, and build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Compassionate, patient, and flexible approach to working with children.
• Proficiency in using technology and educational tools in the classroom.
