Summary: Supervises students during lunch and in hallways. Works to maintain a harmonious atmosphere by encouraging peaceful meals and transition times in a safe, organized manner.
Qualifications- Ability to develop and maintain a professional rapport with students, parents, staff, and the community.
- Clear criminal history check, physical, and drug test required; first aid training.
- Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
- Supervises students during lunch periods and passing in the hallways to ensure a safe and organized meal time and transition.
- Performs duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies while modeling district standards of ethics and professionalism; implements policy/procedural changes from administration, the Board of Education, or state/federal changes.
- Demonstrated ability to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public, staff, students, and families.
- Able to effectively respond to a single student or small group of students while maintaining order in the lunchroom and hallways.
- Must be able to perform the physical demands of this position, which include sitting, standing, talking, seeing, and hearing. Occasionally, it will be expected to repeat the same hand, arm, or finger motions many times and push or lift up to 50 lbs., such as boxes of books.
- Performs other functions and duties as assigned by the supervisor.
