• Current Michigan State Paraprofessional Qualifications
• Preferred teaching experience or related
• Pass all background checks
• Passion for student learning

Job Summary:

The Title I Teacher Assistant/Intervention Specialist supports certified teachers that deliver instructional programs and activities that improve the academic achievement for students who are falling behind. The assistant is specifically responsible for supporting the certified teacher in the instruction of language arts and math to ensure students meet state and federal guidelines.

Job Duties:

• Provide one-on-one support to students who need additional help to meet academic standards
• Support classroom management and organization to create a conducive learning environment for students
• Assist certified teacher in preparing instructional materials and resources for both lessons and activities
• Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to certified teacher on performance and areas for improvement
• Facilitate communication between teachers, students and parents regarding progress and any concerns
• Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the academic and social-emotional development of students
