As the D/hh Teacher Consultant, you will play a critical leadership role in supporting students with Deafness and hearing loss through the special education evaluation process, IEP development, instructional consultation, and collaboration with teachers, administrators, and families. You will serve as a resource to educators across multiple counties by promoting inclusion, evidence-based instructional practices, and ensuring compliance with state and federal special education requirements.

This position is essential in helping all students achieve success through individualized planning, effective interventions, and collaborative problem solving.

You are eligible for approval as a Teacher Consultant in the State of Michigan with a Deaf/hard of hearing (SL) endorsement.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate
• Endorsement in Deaf/hard of hearing (SL)
• Experience with auditory-oral educational philosophy
• At least three years experience in special education
• Master's degree in special education or related field
• Demonstrated competencies in interpersonal communication, organization, and collaborative leadership
