Lakeview Middle School 4th Grade Interventionist Per Grant Funding

Building Principal
Employment Status:
Full-time, with benefits per LEA contract; if grant funds are available
General Description:
The 4th Grade Interventionist provides targeted literacy and/or math instruction to identified students through individual and small-group interventions. The position collaborates with classroom teachers to analyze student data, monitor progress, and support instructional planning while maintaining confidentiality of student information. Additional responsibilities include developing and facilitating parent engagement activities; communicating regularly with parents and staff regarding student progress, learning goals, and attendance;
participating in building and district team meetings; and maintaining accurate student records and instructional materials inventories. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver's license
- State of Michigan Elementary Teaching Certification
- Meets Michigan's teaching certifications requirement
- Good health, high moral character, and good attendance record
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues
- Technology skills preferred
- Experience in building relationships with at-risk learners and their families
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Elementary Reading Major or Minor preferred
