St. Michael Catholic School in Grand Ledge, Michigan is seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School Teacher to join our vibrant academic community teaching History and English Language Arts to 5-8th grade students. We are committed to forming students intellectually, spiritually, and personally within a faith-filled environment.
Primary Responsibilities:- Plan and deliver engaging instruction in assigned subject area(s) aligned with school curriculum
- Foster a positive, structured classroom and homeroop environment
- Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Assess student progress and provide timely, meaningful feedback
- Collaborate with administration, faculty, and parents to support student growth
- Support and model the Catholic mission of the school in daily interactions
- Attending faculty meetings, professional development training, and other school events as required
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field appropriate to teaching area
- Valid teaching certification
- Prior teaching experience preferred, especially at the middle school level
- Commitment to supporting the Catholic mission and values of the school
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Practicing Catholic preferred
- Completion of background check and Protecting God’s Children program
