Special Education Program Assistant - Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) (32.5 hours/week)

The Special Education Paraprofessionals provide support to the instructional program with specific responsibility for assisting in the supervision, care, and instruction of students with special needs; assisting in implementing plans for instruction; monitoring student behavior; providing information to appropriate school personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Graduate
• Current CPR Certification or willing to obtain CPR certificate
• Current CPI training or willing to obtain CPI training
• Evidence of skills with behavior management
• Demonstrates dependability and promptness
• Understanding, patient, warm and receptive attitude toward children
• Ability to assume responsibility for supervising students
• Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff, parents and the general public with the understanding that confidentiality should be exhibited
• Ability to work outside during all seasons

We are located within the city limits of Cedar Springs, Michigan in Kent County. Cedar Springs Public Schools is one of 20 member public school districts within the Kent Intermediate School District (KISD). Salary: $17.22 to $21.31 Per Hour
