Job Description

Position:
Para educator in Autism Spectrum Disorder Classroom

Location: High School

Terms of Employment:

  • Monday - Friday
  • 6.75 hours per day
  • School days only

    • Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate
  • Must be able to lift 40-60 lbs.

    • Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance with toileting.
  • Assist students with medical needs including, but not limited to, diastat and CPR (will provide training).
  • Needs CPI training (will provide if necessary).
  • Some supervision outside and inside the classroom.
  • Ability to transport students with school vehicles at different events throughout the year. Ability to obtain chauffeur license.
  • Have the ability to work positively with students, teachers and parents.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience working with secondary school students preferred.
  • Willingness to work as part of a team of professionals.
  • Other duties as assigned by the building principal.
