The following position is available for the school year:
Self-Supporting Latchkey Lead Caregiver Early Childhood Center Hired through Genesee Education Consultant Services (GECS)WAGE: $18.59/HR
40 Hours per Week
QUALIFICATIONS:- Valid Child Development Associate (CDA)
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Early Child Development or child related field, preferred.
- Certified Teacher with Early Childhood Endorsement (ZA), preferred.
- Experience in a Michigan Licensed daycare facility or comparable program, preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Have current certification in Infant, Child, and Adult Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and first aid or be willing to be trained.
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible in work environments and hours.
- Meet state standards for passing of criminal record checks and fingerprinting requirements for Child Care Workers and Department of Human Services clearance
- The successful candidate will report to the Program Coordinator under whose direction will actively guide lesson plans, activities, and routines during the preschool day
- Plan, implement, and participate in weekly lesson plans t support active learning and instructional processes pertaining to school readiness
- Actively supervise children
- Work harmoniously with classroom aids and support staff
- Meet annual requirements for ongoing professional development
