Position OverviewDelton Kellogg High School is seeking a dependable, adaptable, and student-centered professional to serve as a Building Substitute Teacher. This individual will provide daily classroom coverage and instructional support for grades 9–12, ensuring continuity of learning and a positive classroom environment in the absence of regular teachers.
Responsibilities- Provide instruction following lesson plans prepared by the regular classroom teacher.
- Maintain a positive, respectful, and well-managed classroom environment.
- Adapt to a variety of subject areas and class periods as assigned throughout the school day or week.
- Support the academic and social-emotional needs of all students.
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to promote student success.
- Supervise students during passing periods, lunch, assemblies, and other assigned duties.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with students, staff, and administrators.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to district policies and procedures.
- Experience working with high school–aged students preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Dependability, flexibility, and a positive attitude.

- Full-time position during the school year
- Reports daily to the High School
