POSITION

SITT Room Coordinator

REQUIREMENTS
  • Must meet the minimum requirements for Instructional Paraprofessionals in Title I Schools. (have Degree, Associates, 60 college hours or pass the Para Educator Test).
  • Ability to implement Restorative Practices.
  • Previous experience working with students in a school or educational setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with techniques and strategies for managing student behavior and conflict resolution.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, administrators, and parents.
  • Good organizational skills to manage students, documentation, and maintain a structured environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other school staff members to support student success and maintain a consistent approach to restorative practices.
JOB DUTIES
  • Supervise students who have been placed in SITT. This involves monitoring student behavior, ensuring they follow the rules and guidelines set for the SITT program, and maintaining a safe and structured environment.
  • Offer academic and emotional support to students, encouraging them to reflect on their actions and make positive choices.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other staff members to exchange information about student progress, behavior, and any concerns that arise.
  • Keep accurate records of student attendance, behavior incidents, and any other relevant documentation.
  • Help students resolve conflicts and address behavioral issues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned within the boundaries of all state and federal guidelines.
