Position: Noon Hour Supervisor
Location: Gwinn

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Noon Hour Supervisor at Gwinn Middle / High School. This part‑time position plays a vital role in ensuring a safe, positive, and engaging environment for students during their lunch and recess periods. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive atmosphere.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise students during lunch and recess, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Facilitate positive interactions among students, promoting teamwork, respect, and conflict resolution.
  • Monitor student behavior and enforce school rules and policies consistently and fairly.
  • Assist students with lunch procedures, including helping with food distribution and ensuring a clean eating area.
  • Organize and lead recreational activities and games to encourage physical activity and social engagement.
  • Communicate effectively with students and staff regarding any concerns or incidents that arise during supervision.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to support the overall mission of the school and contribute to a positive school culture.
  • Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; experience working with students preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with students and staff.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations and handle conflicts with tact.
  • Commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all students.
  • Basic knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Availability to work during designated lunch and recess hours on school days.
  • Background check clearance as required by school district policies.
