Adult ELL Teacher Part-Time
Caseload:
Eligible adult students attending the Adult ELL program. Caseload will be determined after student enrollment.

Monday
- Thursday 5:00 - 9:00 p.m.

Qualifications & Skills
- Possesses a bachelor's degree or higher in English, ESL, linguistics, bilingual education, or a closely related degree, and a valid Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) certification, as per Mi Dept. of Labor and Workforce Development policy.
- Prior experience working with adults in an educational setting is preferred.
- Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of student information.
- Skillfully provide support to students learning English.
- Proficiency in following instructional plans utilizing best practice instruction strategies and curricular resources
- Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students.
- Strong organizational skills for managing instructional materials and student records.
- Ability to manage time effectively.
- Dependability and punctuality.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and provide English instruction to limited English proficient adult students
- Help to schedule students in appropriate levels of instruction and clearly communicate the schedule with all stakeholders, including students and district staff
- Develop and implement instructional lessons based on students' proficiency using content standards
- Maintain accurate data and student records that are shared with the Coordinator
- Provide ongoing, constructive feedback to students regarding progress and areas for improvement
- Participate in professional development to maintain professional certifications
Position Details :
Compensation: $33 per hour
