Job Summary:

The primary purpose of this position will be to assist general education and/orspecial education students on the bus.

Qualifications:

• 1.High school graduate.
• 2. CPR certified or willingto be trained.
• 3. Flexible and strong enough to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 90 pounds such as students or students in wheelchairs.
• 4. Work positively with students, staff and parents.
• 5. Willingness to work as part of a team of professionals.
• 6. Medical training will be provided if needed.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• 1.Assist with loading and unloading of children.
• 2. Assist the driver in maintaining a safe environment on the bus.
• 3. Make sure that any special needs are met, which is a part of the transportation service.
• 4. Maintain a positive communication system with the driver and transportation administration.
• 5. Maintain strict confidentiality.
• 6. Attend all trainings necessary.
• 7. Other duties as assigned.
