Position Overview:
Delton Kellogg Elementary School is seeking a patient, tolerant, and flexible professional to serve as a Building Substitute Teacher
. This individual will provide daily classroom coverage and instructional support in grades K-5, ensuring that student learning continues seamlessly in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction following lesson plans prepared by the regular classroom teacher.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
- Adapt to various grade levels and subject areas as needed throughout the school day or week.
- Support the academic and social-emotional needs of all students.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and administrators to promote student success.
- Supervise students during classroom transitions, recess, lunch, and other assigned duties.
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with students, families, and staff.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to district policies and procedures.
Qualifications
:
- Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and classroom management skills.
- Dependability, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Delton Kellogg Schools.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Full-time position during the school year (daily presence in the building).
