Arkansas State University Three Rivers in Malvern, AR is accepting applications for part-time, adjunct faculty positions. These positions are on-campus positions at our Malvern, AR campus.

• Classroom and/or lab instruction
• Evaluation of student learning through various formative and summative methods
• Availability to students outside of class time through email, scheduled appointment, or other agreed-upon communication means
• Textbook review and selection; development of course objectives and syllabi; and preparation of instructional material
• Creation and maintenance of classroom records, including those for attendance, participation, and student grades
• Attendance at annual professional development event
• Participation in program reviews as scheduled
• Submission of requested information – Eleventh-day Audit, mid-term and final grades, assessment reports, and other materials—on time and in the appropriate format

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; and effectively present information to students, staff, management, and clinical facilities, Demonstrate organizational skills in handling, directing, and prioritizing multiple and complex student assignments, Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with students, college employees, and the clinical facilities

The typical working environment for Arts & Sciences faculty is the academic classroom. Certain departments require laboratory activities, and lab environments may vary. The typical working environment for Applied Sciences faculty is an active-learning classroom, which may include computer and electronics equipment, industrial equipment including moving mechanical parts, and in the case of Cosmetology, a fully-functional salon. These labs and active classrooms may have moderate to high noise levels.

Certain labs may use chemicals which create odors or fumes.
