Suttons Bay Public Schools is seeking a positive, joyful, and student-centered individual to join our team as a High School Special Education Interventionist. Position Summary:The High School Special Education Interventionist will work alongside our High School Special Education Teacher. Candidates must have experience establishing meaningful relationships and a positive rapport with students, families, and other staff members. Our ideal candidates are also fiercely resilient, creative, and innovative in their approach to working with students of all ability levels.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the special education teacher with the implementation of student individualized learning plans
- Support non-academic needs to remove barriers that may interfere with academic success
- Monitor students during non-academic activities such as specials, lunch, etc.
- Participate in department, school, district, and/or parent meetings as needed
- Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and families
- Abide by and maintain compliance with all district, state, and federal requirements
- Other duties assigned by High School Special Education Teacher or Administration
- Full-time, school-year position

- A passion for supporting students academically and socially
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience working with diverse student populations
- A calm, encouraging, and solutions-oriented mindset
- Experience in education, youth development, or behavioral support (preferred)
