The following position is available for the school year:
MTSS Paraprofessional
Seymour Elementary6.5 hours per day
This is a MTSS Paraprofessional position serving the behavioral needs of students. This position will serve as an integral part of the buildings behavioral support team, serving a critical role in establishing “Restorative Justice” practices, conflict resolution as well as ongoing student behavioral and emotional support.
QUALIFICATIONS:- Must meet Highly Qualified requirements for paraprofessionals.
- Social work degree/background preferred.
- Experience in an educational setting preferred.
- Positive experience working with K-8 students is preferred.
- Familiarity with MTSS, and “Restorative Justice” practices preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with students individually and in small groups.
- The ability to work collaboratively with a team in a school setting preferred.
- Experience in implementing behavior intervention in a school setting preferred.
- An overwhelmingly positive attitude & willingness to work with students/families is required.
- Ability to accurately collect and maintain student intervention progress monitoring data.
- Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
SALARY: Currently $17.73
