Clarifi Staffing Solutions is seeking a dedicated Elementary Special Education Teacher to join a Michigan school district for the school year. This position is a great fit for an educator who enjoys adapting instruction, building supportive classroom environments, and helping students reach individualized milestones.
Collaboration will be an important part of this role. You'll communicate and coordinate with general education teachers, families, specialists, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure students receive consistent, well-rounded support.
The goal is to create a classroom experience where students feel supported, challenged appropriately, and equipped to make meaningful progress throughout the school year.
Key Responsibilities
You'll provide specialized instruction designed around each student's unique learning profile while creating opportunities for academic, behavioral, and social growth. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Work as Part of the Educational Team.
- Promote student participation, independence, and skill development.
- Use assessment and classroom data to guide instructional decisions.
- Maintain supportive and inclusive learning environments across settings.
- Provide individualized and small-group instruction based on student needs.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Monitor student performance and document progress toward established goals.
- Adjust lessons, curriculum, assignments, and instructional methods as needed.
- Reinforce positive behavior and support students' social-emotional development.
The Credentials: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
The Instinct: An innate ability to read a room, adapt on the fly, and keep learning structured yet deeply engaging.
The License: A current Michigan teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement (or the immediate eligibility to secure one before the school year kicks off).
