Responsibilities

As a Service Manager, you’ll lead a high‑performance culture and motivate your team to deliver top‑notch service to every customer. You’ll blend industry knowledge with interpersonal skills to earn customer trust through empathic, competent service. Your role includes:

  • Lead an entire service operation after completion of paid training
  • Motivate the service team to consistently provide the world’s best service, prioritizing safety
  • Act with professionalism and integrity with customers and coworkers
  • Assist with recruiting top talent for the service team
  • Train and develop Orkin Pros through hands‑on management
  • Lead training meetings
  • Manage our Orkin Pro Ride‑A‑Long program
  • Ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded through inspections, proposed courses of action, and outstanding empathetic customer service
  • Champion innovation by supporting adoption of new products, services and technology
  • Monitor scheduling, routing and inventory to drive efficiencies and productivity

Qualifications

What you need to be successful:

  • Sales experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license or certification if required (company paid)
  • Ability to work independently in the field and interact with clients
Work Environment

Candidates must meet physical job requirements and safely perform duties with or without accommodations. Requirements include:

  • Safely using a ladder within the manufacturer’s weight capacity
  • Occasionally lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Accessing crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, etc., and the ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) which may require an OSHA‑compliant respirator
  • Willingness to work in varying weather conditions
