CMM Programmer - DeWitt Area

Salary Range: $62,000 - $95,000 depending on experience

• Develop, write, and optimize CMM inspection programs from engineering models and drawings.
• Interpret complex engineering blueprints, GD&T specifications, and quality requirements.
• Execute CMM programs to perform precise dimensional inspections of manufactured parts.
• Analyze CMM inspection data, generate detailed reports, and present findings to relevant teams.
• Troubleshoot and debug CMM programs, fixtures, and inspection processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Perform routine calibration checks and basic preventative maintenance on CMM equipment.
• Collaborate with quality, engineering, and production teams to resolve measurement issues and improve part quality.

• Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
• Strong understanding and practical application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience in setup, operation, and troubleshooting of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
• Solid knowledge of metrology principles and measurement techniques.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and quality standards.

• Experience with CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, Inventor) for model manipulation or fixture design.
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and quality improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
• Proficiency with other metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems, laser scanners, optical comparators).
• Scripting or automation experience for data analysis, reporting, or CMM program efficiency.
