Quality Engineer - Coopersville Area

Salary Range: $68,000 - $102,000 depending on experience

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems and procedures.
• Conduct root cause analysis for quality defects and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Perform internal and external quality audits to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
• Analyze quality data, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and improve manufacturing processes.
• Manage the non-conforming material process, including disposition and rework instructions.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) activities by developing quality plans and ensuring design for quality.
• Ensure products and processes comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in core quality tools: SPC, FMEA, MSA, Control Plans, and PPAP.
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001 (and/or IATF 16949, AS9100) quality management systems.
• Demonstrated experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys).
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and GD&T.

• Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
• Internal or Lead Auditor certification (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 13485)
• Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or advanced ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
