Location: Ludington
Packaging Engineer – Ludington, MI
Salary Range: $70,000 to $109,000 depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and optimize packaging solutions for new and existing products.
- Select appropriate packaging materials based on product protection, cost, and sustainability requirements.
- Conduct and oversee packaging performance testing, validation, and qualification.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure packaging line efficiency and manufacturability.
- Identify and implement cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives for packaging.
- Ensure all packaging designs comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company specifications.
- Manage packaging supplier relationships and evaluate new packaging technologies or materials.
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in packaging development or engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., Solid Works) and strong knowledge of various packaging materials (plastics, paperboard, films).
- Familiarity with packaging testing standards (ISTA, ASTM) and regulatory requirements (e.g., GMP, ISO).
- Demonstrated ability to manage packaging projects from concept to launch, optimizing designs for manufacturing efficiency.
- Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
- Experience with sustainable or circular packaging design principles.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Proficiency in advanced packaging simulation software (e.g., CAPE, TOPS).
