Manufacturing Engineer | Whitehall, MI
Salary Range: $69,000 - $108,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Whitehall region seeking Manufacturing Engineers. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates-not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
- Implement and maintain lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues.
- Develop and execute process validation protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ) for new equipment and processes.
- Collaborate with R&D and Production teams to ensure manufacturability of new product designs.
- Specify, procure, and qualify new manufacturing equipment and tooling.
- Create and maintain detailed manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and process flowcharts.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on process improvement and optimization.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD) for designing and analyzing manufacturing processes.
- Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience with various manufacturing processes, such as machining, assembly, welding, or additive manufacturing.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues, improving efficiency and reducing downtime.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred).
- Proficiency in Solid Works, AutoCAD, or other CAD software.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and their application in manufacturing.
- Project management experience, including the use of tools like Microsoft Project or Jira.
- Basic understanding of programming languages (e.g., Python, C++) for automation or data analysis.
