Supplier Quality Engineer | Newaygo, MI

Salary Range: $75,000 - $108,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement supplier quality improvement plans.
• Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Analyze supplier performance data and identify trends for corrective actions.
• Collaborate with supply chain and engineering to resolve supplier-related quality issues.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers to enhance product quality and reliability.
• Review and approve supplier PPAP submissions and other quality documentation.
• Participate in the selection and qualification of new suppliers.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years experience in supplier quality, quality engineering, or manufacturing quality within a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949) and relevant quality tools (e.g., PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).
• Proven ability to conduct supplier audits, assessments, and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions (8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
