Loadmaster is a rapidly growing national manufacturer of refuse trucks with customers all over the country. Garbage never stops-no matter the weather or the economy-and our products play an integral role in keeping cities, parks, and communities clean and healthy. Our customers include major municipalities and hauling companies who rely on Loadmaster equipment every day.

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support product designs from concept through production. This role involves the design and development of structural, hydraulic, and electrical systems for refuse equipment, as well as the creation and maintenance of production-ready documentation, including manufacturing drawings. The ideal candidate is hands-on, collaborative, and able to work effectively across engineering and manufacturing teams.

Essential Job Functions

* Create design, production, and final product documentation using Solid Works, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

* Design structural components, hydraulic systems, and electrical layouts for refuse truck bodies.

* Work with vendors on key component selection, documentation, and technical reviews.

* Prepare, conduct, and analyze testing to validate product performance and durability.

* Support customer-specific engineering requests, including layout changes, options, and special applications.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related discipline.

* Experience using Solid Works, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software

* Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly.

* Familiarity with hydraulics, electrical circuits, or mobile equipment a plus.

* Experience with FEA or simulation tools preferred.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

* Hands-on mindset and willingness to work on the shop floor.
