Role Purpose

As a process engineer, you will develop, optimize, and maintain manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, high-quality production. Collaborating with cross‑functional teams, you will solve technical challenges, lead continuous improvement initiatives, implement new technologies, and drive process efficiency while reducing costs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to line, department, and plant performance, including production and development activities.
  • Problem solve routinely, identify root cause, implement corrective actions, and assist other engineers.
  • Use rigorous processes and technical knowledge to build detailed technical understanding for key process steps.
  • Apply statistical tools and DOE in process problem solving and process improvement.
  • Interface with PI Vision or machine data to assist with process monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Identify gaps in work instructions and improve procedures and setups through documented change control, updating standard operating procedures.
  • Support new product introductions through equipment installation, process certification, documentation, and training.
  • Document process understanding, including daily learning, development planning, and reviews.
  • Interact with operators and production leadership to understand issues and communicate plans and instructions.
  • Act as team member or leader for continuous improvement projects to reduce costs, downtime, defects, and increase yields.
  • Train production personnel on new equipment, processes, and procedures.
  • Develop SME knowledge of material, process, and/or equipment in focused manufacturing or engineering areas.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, identifying and mitigating potential hazards and risks.
Work Hours
  • Standard hours Monday – Friday, 8am‑5pm.
  • Provide support when needed for a 24/7 plant structure.
  • Participate in the on‑call support rotation schedule.
Education and Experience
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science & Engineering.
  • 3–5 years of experience working in manufacturing.
Required Skills
  • Develop standard methodologies for data retrieval and analysis to reduce process variability and find root causes.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, facilitating teams and delegating tasks.
  • Results‑oriented and committed to delivery.
  • Handle multiple complex tasks and prioritize for multiple internal customers.
  • Thorough understanding of Process Control and Discipline.
  • Discern when to follow SOPs and when to involve stakeholders.
Desired Skills
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, including formulas and graphing functions.
  • Demonstrated leadership or teamwork in achieving common goals.
  • Practical experience with basic statistics and identifying sources of variation.
  • DMAIC (or Six Sigma) green belt certification.
Additional Information

The salary range is $84,932.00 – $ for full‑time status, depending on location, market, experience, training, and education.
