Electrical Superintendent Fab Shop

We are currently seeking a highly motivated engineer for our Computational Fluid Dynamics and Tools Development group. In this position, you will be primarily working with internal customers (product development engineers for exhaust after treatment components and systems) to understand and address their CFD modeling needs.

• Provide analytical support for the design and development of exhaust after‑treatment systems.
• Review exhaust after‑treatment system geometries, prepare them for meshing.
• Use meshing software tools to create mesh.
• Use analysis tool to set up and run analysis, prepare reports, and review them with engineers.
• Present reports to customers as needed.
• Provide design improvement feedback to engineering departments.

• Mechanical engineer with MSc in CFD as required degree.
• Three years of exhaust after‑treatment modeling experience with CFD.
• Good knowledge of exhaust after‑treatment products such as converters, diesel oxidation catalysts, diesel particulate filters, selective catalytic reduction substrates, and exhaust sensors.
• Good communication skills to understand engineering problems.
• Enthusiasm and creativity to propose new designs and solutions.
• Experience with CFD tools for meshing and analysis, and a fundamental understanding of numerical methods.
• Awareness of geometry complexities, details from a fluid dynamics point of view.
• Expertise with CFD software: CCM+, ANSYS ICEM CFD, FLUENT, AVLFire.
• Experience with flow dynamics, heat transfer analysis, and spray analysis.

• Preferred experience and knowledge of spray modeling, multiphase fluid flows, heat transfer, and surface chemistry.
• Experience with programming languages like Python, C++, and Visual Basic.
• Knowledge of open-source code; familiarity with OpenFOAM is also preferred.
