Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across St. Johns seeking Welding Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize welding procedures for manufacturing processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for welding defects.
• Evaluate and select appropriate welding equipment and consumables.
• Provide technical support and training to welding technicians and production staff.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and customer specifications.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for welding processes and quality.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, focusing on welding processes and metallurgy.
• AWS Certified Welding Engineer (CWEng) certification or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Proven experience with various welding processes (e.g., GMAW, GTAW, SAW, FCAW) and their application in high-volume production.
• Strong understanding of welding codes, standards, and specifications (e.g., AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX).

Bonus Qualifications

• CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) certification
• Experience with robotic welding systems
• Familiarity with NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) methods beyond visual inspection
• Project management experience in a manufacturing environment
• Advanced knowledge of metallurgy and material science
