Project Manager - Construction Materials Engineering & Testing (CMET)

In this role, you'll combine technical expertise, leadership, and client engagement to deliver high-quality engineering solutions while mentoring the next generation of engineers.

As a CMET Project Manager, you will lead end-to-end project delivery while playing a key role in technical excellence and business growth:

• Manage construction materials testing programs across a wide range of projects (roads, structures, public infrastructure, and private developments)
• Oversee the full project lifecycle: scoping, proposal development, execution, and reporting
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards

• Apply deep expertise in field testing of soils, concrete, asphalt (HMA), and steel
• Oversee laboratory testing programs and ensure compliance with relevant standards and specifications
• Provide technical guidance and quality assurance across projects

• Lead, mentor, and develop junior engineers and technical staff
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture
• Support career growth and technical development within your team

• Build and maintain strong client relationships across public and private sectors
• Identify new opportunities and contribute to business development initiatives
• Prepare winning proposals and represent the organization in client engagements

• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
• 8+ years of experience in:
  • Geotechnical engineering
  • Construction materials testing (CMT)
  • Project engineering or related fields
• Strong expertise in:
  • Field testing procedures for soil, concrete, asphalt, and steel
  • Laboratory testing methods and quality control
• Proven experience managing projects, clients, and budgets
• Demonstrated success in mentoring engineers and leading teams
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
