Location: Twin Lake

A globally prominent and rapidly growing manufacturing organization is seeking to hire an EHS Engineer to support health, safety, and environmental programs within a complex, high-growth manufacturing environment. This position will serve as a key member of the site EHS team, with a primary emphasis on occupational health and safety, plant-floor engagement, hazard reduction, training, incident prevention, and continuous improvement. The EHS Specialist will partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, contractors, and plant leadership to strengthen compliance, reduce risk, and help build a proactive and highly engaged safety culture.

Primary

Responsibilities
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and plant leadership to identify workplace hazards, assess risk, and implement practical corrective and preventive actions.
  • Lead and support incident investigations, root-cause analysis, corrective-action development, and follow-through to reduce injuries and prevent recurrence.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training related to regulatory requirements, company standards, safe work practices, and site-specific risks.
  • Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, employee observations, and compliance reviews involving areas such as machine guarding, lockout/tagout, ergonomics, PPE, industrial hygiene, and contractor safety.
  • Evaluate new equipment, process changes, capital projects, and facility modifications to ensure health, safety, and environmental requirements are incorporated from the outset.
  • Maintain required EHS records, reports, procedures, and compliance documentation while supporting regulatory inspections and internal management systems.
  • Provide support for environmental compliance activities involving air, wastewater, storm water, chemical management, waste disposal, recycling, permitting, and sustainability initiatives as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Three or more years of EHS, health and safety, or related experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or similarly complex operating environment.
  • Working knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, risk assessment, incident investigation, corrective action, training, and compliance documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work directly with plant-floor employees, supervisors, technical teams, contractors, and leadership to influence safe behaviors and drive improvement.
  • Experience supporting environmental compliance programs is strongly preferred, particularly within air, wastewater, storm water, chemical management, waste, permitting, or regulatory reporting.
