Mechanical Engineer
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer who will be responsible for designing components and complete industrial equipment from scratch. The role involves using Solidworks and AutoCAD to create designs, with a focus on projects within the aluminum extrusion, aerospace, and automotive industries.
Responsibilities- Design components and complete industrial equipment using Solidworks and AutoCAD.
- Familiarize with products and equipment to design various parts of a greater system.
- Lead capital projects from concept through to production.
- Work on projects involving aluminum extrusion equipment, industrial ovens, and washers.
- Spend approximately 70% of the time drawing and designing, and 30% sourcing components and assisting production during the build phase.
- Participate in reengineering old machines and modifying equipment for new and existing customers.
- Select components such as motors, cylinders, and servos.
- Proficiency in Solidworks and AutoCAD.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- 5+ years of experience designing industrial and automation equipment from scratch.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience designing ovens, washers, and aluminum extrusion equipment.
- Understanding of the automotive industry and its fast-paced nature.
- Experience as an automotive tiered supplier.
The typical work hours are from 7 or 8 AM to 4 PM, with possible overtime during the week, normally amounting to about 5 hours. The company is family-owned, taking pride in their projects, and consists of approximately 18 people, including 3-4 engineers. Benefits include 8 paid holidays and a minimum of 72 hours of PTO.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $36.06 - $43.27/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
