Sales Engineer
Switch Box is looking for a Technical Account Manager to help connect our customers, engineering teams, and business development efforts.
This is a hands-on, cross-functional role for someone who enjoys working directly with customers, coordinating technical teams, solving problems, and helping engineering projects move from opportunity through successful execution.
You will own a portfolio of customer accounts, manage multiple smaller engineering projects, support proposal development, and help identify opportunities to expand our work with existing customers. This is a high-visibility role with real ownership and the opportunity to work across the technical, commercial, and customer-facing sides of the business.

What You’ll DoAccount & Project Management- Own the day-to-day relationship for a portfolio of customer accounts and serve as a clear, responsive point of contact.
- Manage approximately 3 to 5 smaller engineering projects at a time, including scope, schedule, budget, action items, priorities, and customer communication.
- Keep engineering teams aligned and projects moving forward by proactively identifying blockers, driving actions, and escalating issues when needed.
- Help maintain alignment between customer expectations, project scope, technical teams, and commercial commitments.
- Identify follow-on needs and additional opportunities within existing customer accounts.
- Maintain proposal development tracking and actively drive open proposals toward completion.
- Coordinate technical inputs, estimates, reviews, customer follow-up, proposals, and Statements of Work.
- Develop smaller proposals and SOWs directly while supporting larger opportunities led by technical or company leadership.
- Support customer outreach, industry events, trade shows, business development activities, and follow-up.
- Help create a smooth transition from business opportunity through proposal, project kickoff, and execution.
- Work closely with technical leads and engineers to understand the needs, priorities, and challenges of assigned projects and customers.
- Develop enough technical understanding of each project to effectively coordinate scope, priorities, actions, and decisions.
- Provide hands‑on technical, project, or commercial support where your experience can add value.
- Bring in senior leadership or specialized technical expertise when appropriate while independently handling routine project and customer coordination.
- Technical or business degree.
- Experience working in engineering, product development, or technical services environments. Automotive experience is especially relevant.
- Strong project ownership, organization, communication, and follow‑through.
- Confidence working directly with customers as well as engineers and technical teams.
- Ability to understand technical problems well enough to coordinate scope, priorities, actions, and decisions.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to develop clear proposals and Statements of Work.
