Location: Ray, Michigan (Metro Detroit Area)
Part-Time | Flexible Hours (20–30 hrs/week) | Seasonal Saturdays as Needed

Outdoor Equipment Co. is seeking a Part-Time Parts Consultant to support our Ray location. This position plays a key role in assisting customers and our service team by identifying, ordering, and organizing parts that keep equipment in the field and working.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, problem‑solving, and customer interaction—whether you have industry experience or a mechanical background looking for a flexible schedule.

• Assist walk‑in and phone customers with parts lookup and ordering
• Use manufacturer diagrams and systems to identify correct parts
• Support the Service Department by sourcing parts for repair orders
• Receive, stock, and organize inventory shipments
• Track backorders and communicate updates
• Help maintain accurate inventory and participate in cycle counts
• Keep the parts area clean, organized, and efficient
• Build relationships with commercial and residential customers

• Strong customer service attitude and willingness to learn
• Mechanical aptitude or familiarity with equipment, automotive, or tools preferred
• Organized, detail‑oriented, and dependable
• Comfortable using computers and lookup systems
• Ability to multitask during busy spring/summer seasons
• Team‑oriented mindset - works well with sales and service staff
• Ability to lift 40+ lbs and remain active throughout shift

• Flexible weekday hours (we will work around the right candidate)
