Description

Our trusted client is seeking an experienced Controller Consultant to oversee financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in day-to-day accounting processes. This role involves managing month-end and mid-month closings, overseeing accounts receivable and payable, and maintaining financial records using Quick Books. This is a long-term engagement is based fully onsite Northville, Michigan and will report directly to the Corporate Controller.

The day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Manage all aspects of month-end and mid-month financial closings, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

- Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes to maintain smooth financial operations.

- Utilize Quick Books to track, analyze, and report financial data effectively.

- Develop and implement workflows and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

- Provide training and guidance to team members, ensuring they are equipped to handle accounting tasks.

- Collaborate with leadership to review and allocate revenues and expenses appropriately.

- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

- Assist with acquisition integration, ensuring seamless financial transitions.

- Continuously analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.

- Prepare detailed reports and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following skill set:

- Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar financial leadership role.

- Strong knowledge of month-end and mid-month closing processes.

- Proficiency in using Quick Books for financial management.

- Expertise in managing accounts receivable and accounts payable.

- Ability to train and mentor team members in accounting practices.

- Familiarity with acquisition integration and financial transitions.

- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.

- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and leadership.
