Operations & Trading Associate

This is a salaried- not commission based - in office position.

• Daily trading of securities including managing the related hardware and software systems
• Daily posting and reconciliation of positions with custodians
• Daily download of custodial files from Advent Custodial Data into Axys
• Trade blotter reviews
• Monitoring daily client cash movement
• DTC confirmation process
• Portfolio accounting procedures, corporate action and reporting protocols
• Communicate with custodians and brokers regarding any discrepancies
• Creation and ongoing maintenance of new accounts, securities, contacts, groups
• Update indices, dividend, yields
• Support Director of Operations, Head Trader, and CCO with specific projects and day to day requests
• Cost Basis accounting reconciliation experience a plus

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
• Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure on multiple projects concurrently while handling frequent interruptions
• Ability to work independently as well as in teams in a small office environment
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Interest in expanding knowledge
• Advent Software experience (Axys experience preferred) a plus
• A good understanding of securities transactions and reporting a plus
