Salary Range: $127,000 - $177,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Newaygo that are seeking Controllers. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Manage and optimize the month-end and year-end close processes, including financial statement preparation.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities, providing analysis and insights to management.
• Implement and maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting and inventory management.
• Drive cost accounting initiatives, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
• Manage cash flow and working capital, optimizing financial resources for operational needs.
• Coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience with ERP systems relevant to manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and their application in manufacturing.
• CPA certification highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor an accounting team.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with an ERP implementation or major upgrade
• CPA or CMA certification
• Experience in a private equity-backed environment
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
