** Finance Manager*
* Location:
Lake Orion, MI (Hybrid - 3 days onsite / 2 days remote)
Position Type:
Direct Hire / Permanent Role
Travel: 3-4 times per year
Compensation: $120,000 - $170,000 annually (flexible depending on qualifications)
** About the Role*
* Our client is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to serve as the lead finance and accounting professional for their U.S. operation. This is a highly hands-on, department-of-one role responsible for managing all core accounting and finance functions while partnering closely with the international parent company. The position will play a key role in building scalable financial processes and supporting future team growth as the U.S. business expands.
** Key Responsibilities*
* + Oversee all day-to-day accounting and finance operations including AP, AR, GL, payroll, and treasury.
+ Ensure accurate financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP and IFRS requirements.
+ Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
+ Prepare financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reporting.
+ Maintain internal controls, policies, and accounting procedures aligned with global standards.
+ Manage cross-border accounting and reporting requirements, including collaboration with international headquarters.
+ Support audits, tax compliance, and external financial reviews.
+ Provide financial analysis and strategic support to leadership.
+ Assist in building and scaling the U.S. finance function as the organization grows.
** Qualifications*
* + 6+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance leadership roles.
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
+ CPA preferred.
+ Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
+
Experience with SAP and Quick Books a plus.
+ Strong understanding of US GAAP; IFRS experience a plus.
+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
+ Ability to operate independently in a lean, fast-paced environment.
