Location: Gladstone, MI
Reports To: BSA & Operations Officer

Position Summary:

The Account Services Representative plays a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity and daily operations of the bank. This position is responsible for assisting with general ledger (GL) account reconciliation, balancing deposit application accounts, supporting bank operations, and providing customer assistance related to bank products and services. This role requires accuracy, strong organizational skills, a customer-focused mindset, and a strong collaborative effort with the deposit operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial & Accounting Support

  • Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts on a regular basis
  • Monitor and resolve discrepancies in deposit application accounts
  • Ensure accurate and timely posting of transactions and adjustments
  • Assist in month-end and year-end financial close procedures

Operational Support

  • Support the day-to-day operational activities of the bank, including transaction research and documentation
  • Monitor and support the different payment rails/platforms of the bank
  • Maintenance and document changes to customer deposit accounts
  • Assist in preparing reports for internal management and regulatory bodies

Customer Service & Product Support

  • Help customers with inquiries about bank products and services
  • Provide support for account openings, transactions, and general banking needs
  • Educate clients about digital banking options and assist with basic troubleshooting

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in bookkeeping, preferably within a financial or banking environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and banking operations
  • Proficiency in accounting software, spreadsheets, and digital banking tools
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and interpersonal skills
